Instruction will include both lecture and laboratory activities through face-to-face, hybrid, and internet classes. The instructor will report to the Dean of the School of Industrial Technologies and Legal Studies.The instructor must possess the ability to:+ Teach all phases of the Residential Building Design Technology curriculum+ Additional duties include developing instructional materials+ Evaluating students’ progress in achieving instructional goals and objectives+ Provide professional instruction based on approved course syllabus+ Prepare curriculum for coursework taught+ Deliver training by lecture, hands on, computer multi-media, online and textMinimum Qualifications:Five years of work experience and an Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Design and Media Production or a related field. Appropriate degree will reflect the requirements of the College’s accrediting agency.Ten years of full-time work experience in graphic design, and computer design and prepress .Current skills should include a strong understanding of the basic principles of good design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university in Design and Media, or a related field. Appropriate degree will reflect the requirements of the College’s accrediting agency. Five or more years, within the last ten years of full-time work experience in computer design and prepress, and graphic design . Experience teaching media and design production at the college level. Experience working with current digital media technology. Ability to deliver a curriculum which addresses digital media industry skills needed for employment or advanced training. Experience working with digital media software applications including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite.
